1) When are boot camp classes offered? What does each class consist of?
Rock Body Boot Camps offers intense 30-45 minute metabolic workouts for busy professionals that run multiple times during the early morning and mid to late evenings on M,W,Th and early Saturday mornings. We are constantly adding times so please visit our "Annual Calendar" page for the most up to date days/times.
Arrival Time:
Each boot camp instructor will arrive on location and open the doors 15 minutes before the official start of the workout. Campers are expected to use this time to go through their own personal improvement routine. This is also time to discuss any questions, comments, or concerns with the on-site trainer before the start of the workout.
Please know that our main focus is keeping our campers safe and healthy. Thus, each class begins with a complete warm-up emphasizing mobility and activation to best prevent unwanted inury and to allow for a more effective workout.
Departure Time:
Each boot camp instuctor will remain for an extra 10-15 minutes after each workout to address any remaining personal questions or concerns. Campers are also highly encouraged to use this time to perform their post-workout routine consisting of corrective stretching and self-massage to best prevent nagging aches and pains and reduce soreness between workouts. However, this program caters to busy professionals, and we do understand if you need to leave immediately at the end of each session. In this case, campers are expected to perform their post-workout routines at another time for best results.
Are these boot camps a good fit for me or are they too intense?
There is no doubt about it; our boot camps are intense enough to challenge the most elite fitness pros but we can accomodate beginer campers in most cases. If you have been inactive for a long period of time you may be asked to start out with our beginner class or take a couple private sessions before joining the larger group. Our campers range in age early 20's to low 60's. How can we do this? Proper program progression and regression instead of the workout of the day used by most group instructors!
What can I expect?
You can expect to get big time results in a short intense workout (no more than 45 mins) that is scientifcally proven to get better results than hours of low intensity steady paced aerobic training. You can expect to feel like you have your own pesonal trainer even though your in a group and paying way less. You can also expect to use all sorts of training equipment like kettlebells, dumbells, TRX's, medicine balls, battling ropes, sleds, cable columns, bands, and more so no day or workout will feel like the last.
How many people can I expect in my group?
We strive to offer our clients the most positive environment to work towards their fitness goals and numbers is part of this equation. Although as long as the group is working well together we won't modify the size so it's difficult to put a number on it (maybe 5-25). Commitment and dedication to a healthy lifestyle are our most important criteria and we will not tolerate less for the sake of our members.
2) How long is each boot camp? What is an off/testing week?
Our fitness boot camp program operates on a annual training calendar that is based on seasonal variations and corporate/school schedules. We offer multiple phases of boot camp sessions per year, each lasting roughly 4-6 weeks in length with 1 week off/testing periods to assess progress with challenge workouts and rest and recover to prevent overuse injuries.
Why are there weeks off? I noticed there are off-weeks in the annual calendar.
These off weeks are built into the annual calendar to let the body rest and recover. We encourage our members to take time to let their bodies recover in order to prevent overuse injuries. However, we have a fitness assessment day at least one day during this week!
3) How does the FREE Trial process work? What do I need to do to sign up?
Rock Body Boot Camps is an invite-only membership program. We use the FREE trial period to assess if our program is the right long-term fit for each trial member. If you are invited to join our exclusive program you will have the ability to choose from serveral membership options based on your current schedule and budget.
All trial members must complete an orienation and submit an initial boot camp questionaire prior to participation. Once we receive your completed forms you will receive a confirmation email with specific details preparing your for your orienation or first day of Seattle's Rock Body Boot Camp! Again, you may be asked to attend a mandatory boot camp orientation before your 1st day. The orientation is meant to assess the current fitness level of each new trial member and answer any questions or concerns. Please visit our Annual Training Calendar click here for more details.
4) How do I get invited into the program? When can I start?
During the FREE Trial, we expect each trial member to attend all available workouts. this shows us that you are serious about getting results. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis if the on-site trainer is provided with advanced notice of an impending scheduling conflict.
We also want to see that you are having fun and bringing positive energy to the group. Complainers and whiners are NOT welcome!
Bottom line- if you make as many workouts as you can, work hard, and bring a positive mental attitude, you will put yourself in the best position to success!
Note: If you have received a specific membership giveaway through a charity event or some other special promotion, the invite process will not apply until the end of this extended tiral. Please make sure to hand in your special trial card with your initial registration form.
5) How much does the program cost?
Rock Body Boot Camps are a monthly membership program. Campers have the option of 2, 3, or 4 days per week options and prices vary based on the level of commitment and program selections.
We also offer 5 and 10 session punch cards for those that can't commit to a monthly membership because of a busy lifestyle although we can't guaruntee results without consistent attendance.
6) What do I bring to class?
Each camper is expected to bring the following items to class:
7) What should I wear to class?
You should wear comfortable, breathable clothing. Please do not wear clothing that is too big- we need to see your body move at different joint positions so we can best assess your form and technique and make necessary corrections.
In addition, please wear shoes that are designated for athletic purposes.
8) How do I receive updates, or emails, etc.?
We hate spam too so please add ryan@rileyathletics.com to your email contact list to prevent our emails from being sent to your spam box. This will be our primary form of communication.
9) How does nutritional factor into the program?
Our goal is not to overwhelm, but rather to ease you into adopting healthier dietary habits for long-term success. All paying members receive a nutrition manual to get them started and along with many other nutritional facts and info as we proceed.
We also know that no matter what your goals are nutrition is at least 80% of the equation thus, we offer a more extensive 12 week program for those looking for a complete Metabolism Makeover.
10) Where are you located?
Riley Athletics 4,000 sq/ft indoor training facility at1601 Dexter Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109.
11) Is this an indoor or outdoor boot camp? Facility?

Do you have locker rooms and showers?
We do not have showers at our facility but we do have changing rooms and places for you to put your personal items.
